The SE quarter has a strong block of Weyburn loam, including 96 acres rated at 56.76, along with additional Weyburn loam and lighter Asquith areas. The NE quarter also carries Weyburn loam on its better cultivated acres, with SAMA ratings in the low-to-mid 50s on the stronger ground. SCIC soil class is L. Practical grain land with a good base of Weyburn loam and some lighter sandy loam mixed in.
